Analysis of a dose-response assay in Scaptotrigona bipunctata bees, Lepeletier, 1836 (Hymenoptera: Apidae) using the logistic regression model under the Bayesian approach

This paper shows the results of a dose-response study in Scaptotrigona bipunctata bees, Lepeletier, 1836 (Hymenoptera: Apidae) exposed to insecticide Fastac Duo. The aim was evaluate lethal concentration that causes death 50% bees (LC50) and investigate odd mortality after exposure different concentrations, using logistic regression model under Bayesian approach. In this approach, it is possible incorporate prior information gives more accurate inferential results. Three independent experiments were analyzed, dissimilar their lead time according guidelines from Organisation for Economic Co-operation Development (OECD), which each assay contained four replicates at levels investigated, including control. Observing agrochemical, identified higher concentration, greater mortality. Regarding estimated concentrations experiment, following values found, 0.03 g a.i. L-1, 24 hours, 0.04 48 hours 0.06 L-1 72 showing with longer times there an increase LC50. Concluding, showed alternative approach classical methods studies
